Puppy is guaranteed to be a purebred, registered with the American Kennel Club, and that the pedigree is correct to the best of our knowledge.

The following guarantee if for the original buyer and is not transferable.

To activate this guarantee, take your new puppy to your licensed veterinarian within the first 48 hours (2 days) of purchase for his initial examination. The puppy is only guaranteed against contractible diseases for 24 hours.

If a female dog is bred before the official OFA certification x-rays are taken at 24 months of age, the guarantee is void.

We guarantee the puppy to be free of any genetic defect up to one year of age.

If your veterinarian suspects an eye problem (such as progressive retinal atrophy) in the first 25 months, it must be verified by a licensed DACVO Veterinary Ophthalmologist in writing.

We guarantee the puppy’s hips and elbows for 25 months. If your veterinarian suspects dysplasia, the x-rays will be sent to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) by your licensed veterinarian. The OFA report will be the sole judge as to the condition of the hips or elbows.

To replace puppy: If a health defect is determined to be genetic/hereditary, Christensen Labradors will replace the dog with a puppy of the same sex and color as soon as possible. (If deposits have been made toward the next litter, the choice of puppy will come after the deposits made at that point.) If the price of the replacement puppy is different than the price paid by purchaser for the affected puppy, the purchaser will pay the difference for the replacement puppy.

To keep puppy: If a health defect is determined to be genetic/hereditary and the owner wants to keep the puppy, Christensen Labradors will pay for surgery if it is less than the cost of the puppy. If it is more than the purchase price of the puppy, only the purchase price will be paid directly to the veterinarian with the original bill.

If surgery is not required and the owner wants to keep the puppy, the guarantee will be void. In this case, $300.00 will be refunded with a spay/neuter certificate from your veterinarian.

This guarantee is dependent upon demonstration that the puppy has received adequate care and nutrition. Abuse, neglect, trauma, (i.e. jumping in the air for Frisbees, going up and down stairs, jumping on/off furniture or out of vehicles, children riding or sitting on pup), in any way that affects the development or well being of the puppy will void this guarantee.
